Brookfield East High School has hired Michael Goodman to lead the girls basketball team.

East Athletic Director Cale Vogel said Goodman received high marks from those who knew him at Mondovi High School where he has taught and coached the girls basketball team the past two years.

"I have no doubt the Michael will be successful in running our girls program.  He has the willingness to learn and improve which is key," Vogel said.

Vogel said Goodman had great communication skills, passion and a clear sense of commitment to student-athletes, as well as knowing the game well and having a strong work ethic.

Goodman succeeds Kelly Lam, who has accepted a teaching position at Sussex Hamilton.
