Hundreds Visit Packers Kuhn, Donate Food to Hunger Task Force

Packers fullback John Kuhn signed autographs Tuesday at AT&T store in Brookfield for fans who donated food to Milwaukee Hunger Task Force.

Lining up three hours before the event, fans brought a plethora of items for Packers fullback John Kuhn to sign as they filled two food donation boxes for charity.

Hundreds of people wrapped around the shopping center with the AT&T store at 3825 N. 124th St. to see No. 30, known affectionately as "Kuuuuuuuuhhhhhnnnn!" Once inside, fans stuffed two canned and non-perishable goods into tall boxes for the Hunger Task Force.

Colleen Rogers of Brookfield said she waited for about 45 minutes to get in, but that was a snap compared to the more than two hours she waited to see Donald Driver, who was a few blocks away at in Wauwatosa. (Driver also was .)

"I already have his other three books and I bought three of the new ones for my sons," ages 34, 46 and 38, Rogers said of Driver. She asked Kuhn to sign a photograph of himself. She plans to put everything in Christmas gifts.

A third Packer, Mason Crosby, was scheduled to sign autographs outside Boston Store at Brookfield Square mall from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. at an Oak Creek elementary school.

But Kuhn's name was the one Brittany Zalucki wanted as she asked him to sign her Milwaukee Lutheran High School football T-shirt over her shoulder.

And 5-year-old James Valentine of Waukesha had Kuhn sign his Packers helmet, which was a little big so he wears a winter hat underneath to help keep it in place and comfortable.

Attending the event with his father Jason Valentine and grandmother Terrie Nelson, James said he liked the Packers and Kuhn. But no offense to the fullback, "Aaron Rodgers" is James' favorite player.

Why? "Because he's on a lot of commercials," James said.
