PHOTOS: Brookfield Academy Performing Seussical This Weekend

Students grades 5-12 will bring the whimsical play to the Sharon Lynn Performing Arts Center.

With a range of talent from grades 5 through 12, two teachers in the cast, and a crew of parent volunteers, Brookfield Academy Theater Director Mark Salentine will take his place backstage this weekend as the group performs their hard-rehearsed Seussical.

A musical based on several Dr. Seuss stories, the play brings together unrelated characters like the Cat in the Hat, and Horton (who hears the who), on a set that mimics the whimsical and playful worlds Seuss has created.

The show will run at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts Friday at 6:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m, and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from the box office at the center or on the center's website.Β
