PHOTOS: Brookfield Elementary Students Showcase Science Projects

Science fair was held Thursday at Brookfield Elementary School.

More than 200 Brookfield Elementary School students from kindergarten through fifth grade participated in about 140 science projects that debuted at the school's science fair on Thursday.

Judges were critiquing the projects Thursday morning and parents were invited to check out the work Thursday afternoon.

The judges were:

  • Lynn Raines, Principal, Brookfield Elementary
  • Bob Bonadurer, astronomer, director, Daniel M. Soref planetarium at the Milwaukee Public Museum
  •  Mark Hansen, Superintendent, Elmbrook School District
  • Kevin Walter, MD, Sports Medicine Physician, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin (parent of a Brookfield Elementary student)
  •  Dana Monogue, Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services, Elmbrook School District
  •  Dawn Hipp, Instructional Resource Teacher, Brookfield Elementary
  •  Nancy Marsho, Interim Brookfield Elementary Principal and former Tonawanda School Principal
  •  Carol Boyd Kagy, Supervisor of the Aviary, Milwaukee County Zoo
  •  Michele Aprahamian, Pupil Support, Brookfield Elementary
  •  Helen Engeseth, research compliance manager, GE Healthcare
