Pius Ends Lancers Girls Volleyball Season

The Brookfield Central volleyball team finished the season 28-15, after the Pius Popes won sectional semifinals.

It just wasn't meant to be.

The Lancers girls volleyball team had high hopes for their first state berth this year but the Pius Popes got in the way, knocking Brookfield Central out of the sectional semifinals Thursday night on Central's home court.

The final score was 3-1: 26-24, 25-16, 16-25, 25-15.
