PHOTOS: Spartans Defeat Huskies 44-6

Brookfield East remains undefeated and driving toward its hopeful second-ever conference championship.

Brookfield East easily handled West Allis Hale Friday night, winning their homecoming game 44-6 and driving toward a hopeful second-ever conference championship.

The Spartans dominated the running game, with senior Zach Schober the rushing leader with 128 yards. Junior quarterback Zach Damico ran in three TDs and passed the game's first score to senior Kyle Wirtz.

With the win, the Spartans remain undefeated on top of the Greater Metro Conference, one game ahead both Sussex Hamilton and Menomonee Falls who have one loss.

The Spartans are 6-0 overall, with Sussex Hamilton trailing 5-1 and the Falls, 4-2.

In the race for the conference title, Brookfield East plays at Marquette (2-3) on Friday while Hamilton hosts West Allis Central (0-5) and the Falls travels to West Allis Hale (1-4).

And the final week, Brookfield East hosts Sussex Hamilton on Oct. 12 in what could be the showdown game while in Menomonee Falls, the Indians will take on the Brookfield Central Lancers.
