Brookfield East Hires New Athletic and Activities Director

Cale Vogel, athletic director in the Lake Mills School District, will succeed Corey Golla as Brookfield East's new athletic and activities director. Golla resigned to take a job as principal of Menomonee Falls High School.

A Lake Mills teacher, coach and athletic director has been hired as 's new athletic and activities director.

Cale Vogel's contract was approved this week by the Elmbrook School Board.

"My family and I are extremely excited," Vogel told board members. "It's kind of a dream come true. I'm a competitive guy in all aspects of my life.... I'm anxious to get started."

Vogel, who earned his bachelor's degree in political science at Cardinal Stritch, served his student teaching at Brookfield East.

He has worked for the Lake Mills school district since 2006, as a social studies teacher, head boys basketball coach and athletic director. He received his masters degree from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in curriculum, instruction and athletic coaching.

Vogel is pursuing further education on educational leadership as a post-graduate student at the UW - Madison and enjoys golf and exercising in his free time. He and his wife have two sons,Β  Jack, 4, and Charlie, almost 2.

He will succeed as East's athletic and activities director to become principal of Menomonee Falls High School. Vogel's contract includes an $87,000 annual salary.
