Brookfield East Takes Home Relay Gold

Ryan DunDun, Trenton Daniels, Stephen Browne, and Brad Johnson propelled themselves to a state title during a windy day at picturesque UW-La Crosse Friday.





Two juniors and two seniors at Brookfield East High School came home from La Crosse with some heavy hardware around their necks. 

The Brookfield East 4x800 relay team to the gold medal Friday at the WIAA State Track and Field Finals amidst the scenic bluffs and packed bleachers at Veterans Memorial Field at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. 

East juniors Ryan DunDun and Stephen Browne, along with seniors Trenton Daniels and Brad Johnson warded off a Waukesha South team that finished a half second behind. 

The state 4x800 relay title remains in Brookfield for another year. In 2012, Brookfield Central won the event. That team also set the state record of 7:40.09.
