Who's Going to State in Boys Track?

Brookfield East is looking for a third consecutive state crown, while Brookfield Central also sends an impressive lineup to La Crosse.

Brookfield East’s hopes for a third consecutive boys track and field state title rest heavily on its relay teams, all four of which qualified for the WIAA state meet during Thursday’s Waukesha North Sectional.

Glen Harold was first in the pole vault by clearing 15 feet and Brad Johnson captured the 800. Three other individuals qualified for state.

Brookfield Central standout Carl Hirsch was less than a half-second behind Johnson in the 800, and that second place prevented him from a remarkable treble. He won the 3,200 and the 1,600.
