Who's Going to State in Girls Track?

Brookfield Central will be well represented next week but Alisha Harper of East was among the standout individuals at Thursday's sectional.

Elizabeth Flatley’s victories in the 3,200 and 1,600 meters helped Brookfield Central edge Wauwatosa West for the WIAA girls track and field sectional title Thursday at Waukesha North.

Also qualifying for state in two events for the Lancers was Veronica Porubsky, who won the 100 hurdles and was third in the 300 hurdles.

  • Alissa Elwing, second, 200 meters
  • Elizabeth Flatley, first, 3,200 meters; first, 1,600 meters
  • Paulina Agnello, third, 1,600 meters
  • 4 x 100 relay, third

BROOKFIELD EAST

  • Khadiya Hollingsworth, first, high jump
  • Alisha Harper, first, triple jump; first, long jump; second, 100 hurdles
  • 4 x 100 relay, first
  • 4 x 400 relay, third

Other individuals may also qualify based on time and the entire field will be released before the state meet, May 31-June 1 in La Crosse.
