Baseball Playoffs: Spartans Advance, Lancers Lose Close Game
The Brookfield Central boys baseball team's season ended Tuesday with a 6-7 loss at Mukwonago. Brookfield East blanked Waukesha North to advance to face the Hamilton Chargers Friday night.
Mukwonago knocked Brookfield Central out of the WIAA summer baseball playoffs with a 7-6 finish Tuesday, while Brookfield East advanced after dominating Waukesha North, 10-0.
The fourth-seeded Spartans will play fifth-seeded Hamilton Chargers at 5:30 p.m. at Brookfield East High School, 3305 N. Lilly Rd.
If the Spartans win that game, they'll face either Kettle Moraine or Marquette University in the sectionals game at Waukesha West, slated for 11:30 a.m. July 16.
