Brookfield Concert Series a Great Way to Enjoy Summer Nights

Starry Nights at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts takes advantage of warm summer evenings to provide an outdoor venue to enjoy music of all sorts.

These free summer concerts are presented at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield ever Friday from June 22 to July 27. 

Warm summer nights. Cool jazz. Hot salsa.

On Friday evenings from June 22 to July 27, the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield presents "Starry Nights," a free outdoor music series held next to the center in Mitchell Park, 19805 W. Capitol Dr.

This year, the line up is the Starry Nights Orchestra with Florentine Opera (June 22); Leahy's Luck (Celtic - June 29); Carey Ott, (singer-songwriter with musical heroes John Lennon, Cat Stevens, and Bob Dylan - July 6); Orquesta Tumbao (Latin jazz, salsa - July 13); Southern Tradition (southern rock - July 20); and Wilson Center Big Band with Jenny Thiel (July 27).

Don't forget to bring not only blankets or lawn chairs but coolers, tables, wine glasses and bottles, picnic baskets and dinner. Don't want to cart all that stuff? Buy food and beverages from the vendors behind the concert area. One caution: pets are not welcome at Starry Nights.
