knocked off , 6-2, Friday night, advancing to sectionals of the summer WIAA baseball playoffs.

The fourth-seeded Spartans had home advantage against the fifth-seeded Chargers. During the first few innings, the two evenly-matched teams were neck-and-neck. But it wasn't long before Brookfield East inched its way forward, securing a spot in the sectionals.

The Spartans face No. 1 seeded Kettle Moraine High School at Waukesha West at 11 a.m. Monday. The Lasers are 20-9 overall, while the team from Brookfield is 15-14.
