"Just For the Health of It"

What are your health concerns for yourself, your family and our community? Let's get healthy and stay healthy so we can live the best lives possible!

My wife, at the time girlfriend, came up with the title of this post "Just For the Health of It" as the tag line for a club we were both involved with while studying 'Health Promotion and Wellness' in undergrad back in 2004.  Something to go on the back of t-shirts.  Now, I find it fitting to describe why I want to begin writing a weekly blog for our community and why you might consider spending several minutes of your valuable time each week to read it.  For the health of it.  Health is the foundation of a happy life and if you don't believe me, ask someone who is lacking in it.  I want to use the knowledge, experience and expertise I have had the privilege developing over the past 13 years in order to help foster a healthier, happier community.  Please help me by making your health a top priority and by sharing your thoughts and ideas in the comments section below and by telling your friends, relatives and loved ones about this blog.  Thank you!

Let me briefly introduce myself.  I am Dr. Taylor Poehls a local Wellness Chiropractor in Brookfield, WI.  I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion & Wellness, received my Doctorate from Palmer College in Davenport, IA and received both my chiropractic license and nutritional counseling certification from the State of Wisconsin in 2009.  I am a husband and father of four beautiful and healthy children; including a four-year-old boy and two-year-old triplets (two boys and a girl).  I am the Immediate Past President of the Wauwatosa Kiwanis Club, the current President of a local BNI chapter and a member of the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce.  My preferred exercise is Crossfit, but I also dabble in yoga, running and spin as other forms of exercise.  I know what it is like to be busy and have a lot on your plate, but all of these things are only possible because I have my health.  My passion is to help people find their way back to health and more importantly, stay there!  

Here's the plan: I am going to post once a week on Monday.  There are endless topics to discuss when it comes to health, but I'd like to focus on the ones that are most important to you, not me.  Please respond with one or two health topics that you would like more information on and I will do my absolute best to address these topics with the most accurate and up-to-date information I can; including helpful, realistic ideas and solutions to help you problem-solve your health challenges.
