Expanding its array of educational opportunities in the healthcare field, Herzing University – Brookfield is now offering an Associate of Science in Medical Assisting Services degree program, in addition to its Diploma in Medical Assisting Services program.

“We’re very excited to be expanding the array of healthcare programs we can offer to students in the Brookfield area to give students more career options in a high-growth industry,” said Jackie Curtis, campus president, Herzing University – Brookfield. “Medical Assisting is a great career for those who are interested in a balance of patient care and administrative duties, and we offer both diploma and associate degree programs so students can choose the level of education that is right for them.”

The Medical Assisting Services diploma program at Herzing University – Brookfield prepares students to perform both hands-on patient care activities such as taking blood pressure and drawing blood, and administrative tasks like taking a patient’s medical history and handling insurance forms. The Associate of Science in Medical Assisting Services program is designed for those seeking more opportunities for career growth by including a well-rounded general education program in addition to the core medical assisting courses that are offered in the diploma program.
