Mitchell Park

One of the city's four large community parks used by residents citywide, Mitchell Park is named after the city's second mayor, William Mitchell Jr.

Spanning 433 acres in the city's northwest with access off Capitol Drive and River Road, Mitchell Park is home to the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts

About 90 acres are developable for park purposes, with the rest wetlands, woodland and water bodies along the Fox River. Amenities include a major trailhead to the city's Greenway Trail System, a youth baseball complex with four diamonds, park and a concessions/restroom building used by the Elmbrook Little League, a large pavilion with restrooms for group picnics and community events,  play equipment, a pet exercise area, an archery target area, a canoe access with piers, bike and nature trails and a winter sledding hill.
