A 29-year-old Milwaukee woman is facing charges after Town of Brookfield police officers found a prescription pill in her purse while investigating an incident at an area motel. Ashley H. Schroeder was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of possession of an illegally obtained prescription. If convicted, she faces up to six months in jail and $500 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On July 13, Town of Brookfield police officers were called to Motel 6 after someone broke a window of a room. Officers entered the room and no one was there, however, it smelled of marijuana inside.
