Man Accused of Pulling Box Cutter on Staff After Shoplifting
Suspect tells police the knife fell out of his pocket during the altercation, and he was only putting it back into his pocket.
A man pulled a box cutter knife and threatened to cut two Pick ‘n Save employees who were trying to stop him from stealing hygiene items, charges allege. David Willis, 51, of Milwaukee, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday with felony intimidation of a victim, retail theft and disorderly conduct with use of a dangerous weapon. If convicted, he faces up to 11 years in prison and $36,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Friday, Willis was inside the Pick ‘n Save store located at 12735 W. Capitol Dr., when a security officer saw him trying to steal a bottle of body wash. The officer then followed Willis and tried to block him from exiting the store with a manager.
