$513 Elmbrook Memorial Medical Bill Leads to Identity Theft Charge

Milwaukee woman used her roommate's identity to receive narcotic drugs, according to a criminal complaint, although she claimed the roommate asked her to use her identity.

When a woman learned she owed $513 for medical bills at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital, it didn’t take too long to discover she wasn’t the patient. When the woman received the bill, she went to the Brookfield Police Department because the patient on file was morbidly obese and a smoker. The woman was slim and not a smoker, according to a criminal complaint filed March 22 in Waukesha County Circuit Court. The investigation revealed the woman’s roommate, Jennifer C. Martinez, may have used the woman’s identity to receive narcotic drugs for back and side pain between December 2008 and February 2009, according to the criminal complaint. Martinez, 36, of Milwaukee, is charged with identity theft. If convicted, she faces up to three years in prison …

Bathroom Bandit Charged in Brookfield, Pewaukee Thefts, Complaint Says

Cory J. Feerick, 33, of Brookfield, faces up to 45 months in jail if convicted of toilet flush valve thefts.

A Brookfield man who is suspected of stealing toilet flush valves in Pewaukee and Brookfield was charged Thursday with five misdemeanor theft counts in Waukesha County Circuit Court. Cory J. Feerick, 33, faces up to 45 months in jail and $50,000 in fines if convicted of the charges. Feerick is accused of stealing toilet flush valves from: The complaint states Feerick sold hundreds of pounds of brass for cash at area salvage yards. Flush valves for toilets and urinals for months were going missing from all over the metro Milwaukee area. Fast food restaurants, grocery stores and college campus bathrooms were favorite targets. Why are the area salvage yards taking this stuff in anyway. If notified that there may be stollen valves brought in they should call the police. Same goes with area gutter grates marked with the city's name. Those things just don't go to salavge yards from their municipalities and they weight a ton. Loaded Gun Went Missing at Car Wash, Brookfield Grandmother Says

A 78-year-old woman says her .38 revolver went missing when it went through a Brookfield car wash.

A 78-year-old Brookfield woman says her gun disappeared from her car while it went through a car wash, reported Patch Media partner WISN 12. The woman claims that the .38 revolver was in the console when she took her car to Full Service Car Wash, located at 19050 W. Bluemound Rd., on March 20. An employee drove the car through the wash. When she received her car back she immediately noticed the gun missing and informed management. She also said the gun was fully loaded.  Police investigated the location and questioned employees. Surveillance video was checked and nothing suspicious was seen. Seatbelt Violation Leads to 7th Drunken Driving Charge

Brookfield Police Department arrest New Berlin resident after he was driving with a .022 percent blood alcohol concentration, according to a complaint.

A New Berlin man is charged with his seventh drunken driving offense – with a .022 percent blood alcohol concentration – after police say he was driving without a seatbelt at Greenfield Avenue and Moorland Road in Brookfield on Monday, according to a criminal complaint. Ray A. Pousha, 52, was charged Tuesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with operating while intoxicated-seventh offense and operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration-seventh offense. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison and $25,000 in fines. Pousha was released from the Waukesha County Jail on Wednesday after paying $1,000 bail. Baby Formula Theft Leads to Armed Robbery Charge

Milwaukee woman is accused of threatening two people with a gun at a Brookfield grocery store, although all she had was a cell phone, according to a criminal complaint.

A 41-year-old Milwaukee woman is accused of stealing 10 cans of baby formula and threatening to pull out a gun on a loss prevention officer at a Brookfield Pick N’ Save on Monday. Andrea M. Dawson, also known as Andrea Threadgill, was charged Tuesday with armed robbery and retail theft. She faces up to 33 years in prison if convicted. According to the criminal complaint: The loss prevention officer saw Dawson take cans of baby formula and place them in a duffle bag. The officer watched Dawson exit the store past the checkout lanes without paying for the baby formula. Woman Overdoses on Heroin During Drug Test, Police Say

Waukesha woman was being medically cleared following her arrest in the Town of Brookfield.

A Waukesha woman, who was being medically cleared at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, overdosed on heroin while she was supposed to be providing a urine sample, according to a criminal complaint filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court. Niki J. Reichel, 27, was charged with disorderly conduct-domestic abuse on Monday. She faces up to 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines. According to the complaint: Officer from the Town of Brookfield Police Department arrested Reichel at a Waukesha gas station after a disturbance reportedly occurred in the Town of Brookfield in a vehicle at 2:38 a.m. Jan. 23. Bizarre, Sexually Explicit Text Messages Lead to 6 Misdemeanor Charges

Brookfield man, 21, accused of sending thousands of unwanted text messages to former high school classmate, according to a criminal complaint.

A 21-year-old Brookfield man is accused of sending thousands of bizarre, obscene text messages to a former high school classmate. Christopher C. Salimes was charged Monday with six counts of sending a threatening/obscene computer message in Waukesha County Circuit Court. If convicted, he faces up to 1-1/2 yeas in jail. According to the criminal complaint: A City of Pewaukee woman contacted police in August after Salimes started sending the text messages in April. Law enforcement warned Salimes to stop harassing the woman and the text messages stopped for two days. Hartland man charged with felony after driving the wrong way on Capitol Drive in Brookfield.

A Menomonee Falls police officer returning from the Waukesha County Jail Friday night prevented a possible tragedy when he pulled over a wrong-way driver in Brookfield on Capitol Drive. The driver, 48-year-old Daniel M. Goepel, of Hartland, is charged with his fifth drunken driving offense after being arrested by a Brookfield police officer. iPad Sale in Mall Parking Lot Leads to Burglary Charge

More than four dozen gold and silver coins and an iPad were stolen when a Waukesha house was burglarized.

A 23-year-old man is facing charges alleging he burglarized an area home and sold some of the stolen items to another man in the parking lot of Brookfield Square Mall. Gary J. Render, of Waukesha, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Wednesday with one count of burglary and one count of felony bail jumping. If convicted, he faces up to 18 ½ years in prison and $35,000 in fines.
