Maroon Bells of Colorado Chocolate Shop Closed on Valentines Day

The store use to be located in Brookfield Square mall.

Maroon Bells of Colorado chocolate and ice cream shop closed at Brookfield Square on Thursday, reported the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The store originally opened in 2010 in the mall. The shop carried "fine gourmet chocolate, homemade gourmet ice cream and premium roast gourmet coffee." A user on the company's Facebook page commented in January that their Bayshore location also closed.  In other mall news, Blue Waves recently opened a store in Brookfield Sqaure at the Abercrombie & Fitch space. Scott's Brewery Collectibles will be opening at the former Radio Shack location, according to the mall's Facebook page.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to Open Brookfield Store

Shop at Brookfield Square would be the company's second one in Wisconsin.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, which has more than 300 gourmet chocolate stores around the world, is planning to open a location at Brookfield Square, the Journal Sentinel reports. The store, which is expected to open in November, would be the company's second location in Wisconsin. The shop in Delafield features more than 300 varieties of handmade chocolates and confections, including caramel apples and fudge. The average store size is about 1,000 square feet, and most stores are open seven days a week, according to the company. About 40 percent of the candy sold at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory stores are prepared on the premises.
