Culver's Donates Thousands for Azana Spa Families

The newly opened Culver's of Elm Grove donated more than $14,000 to the Azana Spa Benefit Fund for the families of the women slain in the Oct. 21 mass shooting. Red Oak Counseling also raised funds.

Culver's in Elm Grove is donating more than $14,000 the the Azana Benefit Fund for the families of the three mothers slain in the Oct. 21 spa shooting. The store, which just recently opened around the busy Moorland-Bluemound Road corner from Azana Salon & Spa, held a big event Nov. 8, saying it would donate 100% of all sales from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The community responded in force, with the restaurant's drive-through lane snaking back out onto Bluemound Road and patrons eating quickly to give up their tables to more families. Red Oak Counseling of Elm Grove, led by Roxanne Guenther, also organized a raffle that was held in Culver's Nov. 8, which raised another $1,480 for the spa's benefit fund at Associated Bank. Culver's Packed for Azana Spa Fundraiser

The newly opened Culver's in Elm Grove — around the corner from Azana Salon & Spa — was hopping Thursday after announcing it will donate 100% of its Thursday sales to the families of women killed in the spa shooting.

At lunch time Thursday, the drive-thru lines for the newly opened Culver's in Elm Grove were so long, cars backed out onto Bluemound Road. And inside the restaurant at dinner time, the place was packed. Why? The community rallied behind Culver's and its generous offer to donate 100% of all sales all day Thursday (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.) to the Azana Salon & Spa benefit fund for the children of the women killed in the spa shooting Oct. 21. Customers tried to eat quickly to give up their tables for more customers. Families waited patiently a few extra minutes as a bolstered staff worked quickly to deliver all orders. Culver's to Donate Sales Today to Honor Flight

Looking for somewhere to get dinner or a late-night cool treat? Culver's is donating a percentage of its sales July 18 to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.

Culver's restaurants across Wisconsin are donating a share of their July 18 proceeds to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight. Want to help out? Head to Brookfield's two Culver's locations: 3705 N. 124th St. and 21300 W. Capitol Dr. Culver's also has tickets for the major veterans celebration event at Miller Park Aug. 11. The volunteer Honor Flight organization has less than 8,000 tickets left of the maximum 30,000 sought to fill Miller Park (except for bleachers because they can't see the documentary to be shown). Field of Honor: A Salute to the Greatest Generation starts at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 11, with the parking lots opening at 3:30 p.m. for tailgating. Stop in during this hot spell at Culver's and get a free kid's ticket to Summerfest

Don't like paying full price for anything? How about free, especially when it comes to the summer's biggest gig? Culver’s restaurants in the Milwaukee area are teaming up with Kapco, Inc. to provide free tickets to 2012 Summerfest for kids 13 years of age and under.  Tickets can be used for admission between the hours of noon and 3 p.m. daily. The number of tickets is limited and are available while supplies last at local participating Culver's restaurants, including the Brookfield Culver's locations at 3705 N. 124th St. and 21300 W. Capitol Dr. It doesn't appear that you are required to purchase an item to receive the ticket. But it is hot and Culver's has frozen treats....

SOLD: Furniture Deals and Steals, Plaza 173 and Former Uno's

Three Bluemound Road properties have been sold, including the Elm Grove Uno's planned to become a Culver's restaurant, the Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee says.
