Flu season is coming early in parts of the United States: This time last year, flu cases were lower in the Milwaukee area than they are now, according to data on Google's Flu Trends. Overall in Wisconsin, activity is considered high now, while it was considered low at this time in 2011, according to Flu Trends. Lovely. I have already heard of two different yakity yak stories, and not the laughing kind. Flu is in the air. We will experience quadruple the trouble this year now that our daughter is in preschool. She will bring it home to our son, then most likely give it to me, then my husband. That's how the germ process seems to work around here. There is no way to avoid it, although we can take preventive measures like hand washing — it's worth a shot.
