Prank-Friendly Roundabout Home to Another One

Police found holiday decorations left in the Barker Road roundabout, other yard messes reported over the holidays.

If there's a place in Brookfield that has been the site for pranks and stunts, the roundabout at North Avenue and Barker Road ranks high on the list. The past six months have seen youth set up chairs there, stand and scream "roundabout!" to passing motorists and have the senior class bike en masse through it. Add to the mix: dump a plastic Frosty the Snowman and Christmas decorations. A Brookfield police officer on patrol New Year's afternoon found the holiday decorations in the roundabout. Just three hours prior, a San Marcos Drive homeowner had called police to say her four-foot-tall, lighted, hard plastic Frosty was stolen, but when shown the one found in the roundabout, she said it wasn't her snowman.
