Hair Stylists Break Record for Shaved Heads, Raise $50K
Hairdressers from Roots Salon of Brookfield and Greendale broke a Guinness World Record for most heads shaved in an hour to help a young girl who has been diagnosed with cancer.
A local salon has broken a Guinness World Record by shaving the most heads in an hour while also managing to raise $50,000. Hairdressers from Roots Salon, with locations in Brookfield and Greendale, came together for the "Be Brave and Shave" event at the Brookfield Soccer Complex in October and shaved 371 heads in an hour. Three Whitnall High School alumni organized the event after they found out their friend’s 2-year-old daughter, Haven Anderson, had been diagnosed with cancer. Haven's mother, Erin, is a biology teacher at Chapparal High School in Denver.
