The Week Ahead: On the Calendar in Brookfield

Along with school district and city matters, tournament basketball gets under way and two fundraisers aim to aid against hearing loss and cancer.

Looking for interesting events coming up this week in Brookfield, or want to keep up with the public's business on schools and civic matters? Here are some highlights on the calendar. The Elmbrook School Board will discuss the impacts to the district from Gov. Scott Walker's proposed budget during its meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday. A meeting of the Community Development Committee scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled. There will be a neighborhood informational meeting on the Sutter Creek development from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers at City Hall. LIVE BLOG: Brookfield Central vs. Sussex Hamilton

The Chargers and the Lancers battle for first place in the Greater Metro Conference Tuesday night, and Patch is blogging live starting at 7 p.m.

The Sussex Hamilton Chargers (11-0, 5-0 Greater Metro) host the Brookfield Central Lancers (9-1, 5-0 Greater Metro) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton High School.
