Two winning tickets sold in Missouri and Arizona, while a West Allis gas station sells a $1 million winner.
Two winning tickets were sold in Wednesday night's record $580 million Powerball jackpot — in Arizona and Missouri. The winning numbers were: 5-16-22-23-29 and the Powerball was 6. While nobody won the big prize in Wisconsin, a $1 million ticket was sold at the Speedway gas station at 9130 W. Oklahoma Ave., West Allis, the Wisconsin State Lottery said Thursday morning. That ticket matched all five winning numbers correctly but did not have the right Powerball number. As of 7 a.m. Thursday, the person who purchased that ticket had not yet come forward. Who Won the $300 Million Powerball?
There are as many ideas in how to spend $300 million as there are dollars in this Wednesday's jackpot. Unfortunately, the winner of this week's Powerball wasn't from Brookfield.
Looks like we're all going to have to go back to work today as the winning $337 million Powerball ticket was purchased in Lapeer, MI, about 45 miles south of Detroit. When a reporter with seattlepi.com called the gas station about the ticket, the person who answered the phone was too busy, he said, to talk. The gas station will get a $50,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket there. Going into Saturday's drawing, the Powerball lottery jackpot sat at $300 million, but when there wasn't a winning ticket that night, it rolled up to $320 million.
