Man Accused of Thieving From Area Kmart Stores

Police say the suspect was arrested in Oconomowoc after pulling a caper similar to one he did in Greenfield, Hales Corners and Brookfield.

A 29-year-old South Milwaukee man is accused of stealing jewelry from Kmart stores across metro Milwaukee. James Paul Mesich was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Thursday with one count of felony retail theft. If convicted, he faces up to 1 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Nov. 25, Hales Corners police officers were called to Kmart, 5600 S. 108th St., after an employee said a man came into the store and asked to try on two $1,500 bracelets to see how he liked them. After getting the items, the woman said the man fled out the door without paying for them. On Nov. 27, Greenfield police officers were called to Kmart there for a similar shoplifting incident. Waukesha County Man Charged in Marquette University Sex Assaults

21-year-old suspect faces more than two years in prison after authorities say he grabbed the buttocks of two women and lied to police about it.

A 21-year-old Waukesha County man was charged Friday in connection with the sexual assaults of two women near the Marquette University campus last week. Kendrick L. Mitchell of Oconomowoc is accused of grabbing the buttocks of both women in two separate incidents and then lying to police about it. He was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and one count of obstructing an officer. If convicted, he faces up to 27 months in prison and $30,000 in fines.
