Gas Station Murder Suspect to Stand Trial

Court commissioner says there is enough evidence to connect a 20-year-old Waukesha man to the murder of a Petro Mart gas station clerk and allows the case to proceed.

A Waukesha man accused of killing a clerk at Petro Mart and later caught in Brookfield carrying the victim’s cell phone, bloody money and a bullet casing will stand trial for the crime. Billy Ingram, 20, was bound over for trial Thursday by Waukesha County Court Commissioner Thomas Pieper for allegedly shooting Nayyer Rana, 56, then taking money, coins, cigarettes and cigars from the gas station. He’s charged with one count of first-degree intentional homicide, one count of armed robbery with use of force, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.
