Illegal Escort Activity Leads to Woman's Arrest in Brookfield Motel

A detective made an appointment to meet with the woman after he saw her ad on the internet.

A Pewaukee woman was arrested for an escort ordinance violation after a Town of Brookfield detective found her ad on the internet, reported Brookfield Now.  The 48-year-old woman posted the ad on an escort website where she wrote she "loves to please men" for $225 an hour.  The detective made an appointment with the woman and arrested her at a Motel 6 at 20300 W. Bluemound Road.

I think its stupid to bust escorts and prostitutes. Instead they should be ordered group therapy, many of these woman have been abused and have mi drug problems. Many live to prostitute, by drugs and that cycle goes on and on. These woman need serious help, not jail time.   more ›

Subway Robbery Suspect Has Been Charged

A Mukwonago man was arrested and charged for the armed robbery of Subway in the Town of Brookfield.

A Mukwonago man was charged Monday for armed robbery of a Subway in the Town of Brookfield, reported Brookfield Now. Salvador Sanchez, 30, is charged with robbing a Subway sandwich shop at gunpoint on March 13.  A Speedway gas station and another Subway in Waukesha were also robbed on March 22. Sanchez was arrested shortly after the third robbery. Sanchez has not been charged in the Waukesha robberies but authories say he is a suspect for the two Waukesha robberies, reported Brookfield Now. Sanchez faces 15 years in prison if convicted.

Waukesha Robbery May Be Linked To Brookfield Subway Robbery

Waukesha gas station robbery could be linked to Wednesday evening Subway robbery in Town of Brookfield.

A Speedway Gas Station in Waukesha was robbed early Friday morning, and the crime may be linked to Wednesday's robbery of a Subway shop in the Town of Brookfield, Waukesha police say. An employee at the Waukesha gas station pressed the hold-up alarm at 12:52 a.m. When officers arrived on scene, they learned a man wearing a black hoodie with a mask and jeans had robbed the convenience store. The man fled from the scene before police arrived, according to the Waukesha Police Department call record. The man did not display a weapon, however, he had his hand in the waistband, the call log states. Armed Man Robs Town Subway Shop

Robber escapes with cash after showing gun, employees tell police. No vehicle was seen in his getaway.

A man armed with a handgun robbed a Town of Brookfield Subway sandwich shop Wednesday night and escaped, police said Thursday. At about 10 p.m., police said, the robber, wearing all black clothing, walked in to the shop at 19555 Blue Mound Rd., went up to the counter and pulled up his sweatshirt to show a handgun in his pants waist. He demanded cash from frightened employees and as soon as it was handed over, he left. The restaurant staff locked the doors and last saw the robber walking toward the nearby George Webb diner. No vehicle was seen, and no witnesses outside the Subway saw the man. Town of Brookfield police said they have video evidence that is being followed up, but so far no suspect. Brookfield Crash Cuts Car in Half

A car speeding up to nearly 100mph slammed into a pole near Bluemound and Calhoun roads early Saturday, Town of Brookfield police say.

A drunken driver speeding up to nearly 100 miles per hour on Bluemound Road early Saturday slammed into a pole, splitting the vehicle in two, Town of Brookfield police say. The driver — a 23-year-old Brookfield man — was arrested and released to a responsible party, after being taken to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital for a blood draw, police told Patch on Saturday. According to Town of Brookfield police: At 2:20 a.m. Saturday, a patrol officer saw a car speeding at nearly 100mph on eastbound Bluemound Road. The officer prepared to make a traffic stop but the speeding vehicle crashed into a pole east of Calhoun Road and west of Thomas Lane, roughly in front of the Hooters restaurant, police said. Town Police to Enforce 'Booze and Belts'

The Town of Brookfield will increase police patrols to target drunken drivers and seat belt law violators.

Want to enjoy more beer or bubbly at that holiday party? Make sure you have a designated driver. To help keep the holiday season safe and prevent injury or fatal crashes, Town of Brookfield Police will increase patrols in December to arrest drunken drivers and enforce seat belt laws. The Town will participate in a statewide law enforcement campaign dubbed "Booze and Belts" from Dec. 9 to 17 organized by the state Department of Transportation. Police Chief Chris Perket said Wednesday he plans to add three extra squads the evening of Dec. 9 and an extra squad for four-hour shifts on six to eight days of the campaign. A Waukesha man is facing his sixth operating while intoxicated charge after he drove a vehicle with a license plate that not only came from another vehicle, but had a number of outstanding parking tickets against it. William D. Steele, 44, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of sixth offense OWI and one count of operating a motor vehicle after revocation of his license.  According to the criminal complaint: A Town of Brookfield police officer did a check on Steele’s license plate while travelling westbound on Moreland Boulevard about 3:30 p.m. Monday. Town Police to Crack Down on Drunken Drivers

The town will join a national effort called "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over." The city arrested five drunken drivers last weekend in a different effort.

Starting Friday, Town of Brookfield police officers will join a national effort to crack down on drunken driving, Town Police Chief Chris Perket said. Dubbed "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over," the effort will run through Sept. 5. In Wisconsin last year, 220 people died and more than 3,500 people were injured in nearly 5,800 alcohol-related traffic incidents, according to a press release from Perket. First-time convicted drunken drivers must install ignition interlock devices on any vehicle they drive, which tests their breath for sobriety before the car will start. Charges: Man Drove Drunk in Wrong Lane with Children in the Car

Rhinelander man who had been drinking at Brewers game allegedly drove the wrong way in the westbound lanes of Blue Mound Road.

A Rhinelander man is facing charges after he was caught in the Town of Brookfield driving drunk with two young children in the car. Thomas S. Hurlburt, 54, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Tuesday with operating while intoxicated with a minor in the vehicle.  According to the criminal complaint: At 10:08 p.m. Saturday, a police officer saw Hurlburt driving the wrong direction on westbound Blue Mound Road after taking a wrong turn from a motel parking lot. When the officer tried to pull him over, Hurlburt tried to move his vehicle to the correct side of the road but was unable to turn at a median break.
