Brookfield Man Accessed Work Computers After Termination, Investigators Say

Roman R. Blenski III tried to access his old work emails and contacts after he was fired from a Sussex company in January, according to a complaint.

A Brookfield man is accused of hacking into his former employer’s computer system to access all of his old emails and contacts after he was terminated from the company, according to a criminal complaint. Roman R. Blenski III, 45, was charged Thursday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with two misdemeanor counts of computer crimes-access data. If convicted, Blenski faces up to 1-1/2 years in jail and $20,000 in fines. According to the complaint: Blenski was fired from Reinders in Sussex on Jan. 9. Shortly after his termination, Blenski asked another employee to download his personal contacts from his work computer. The employee contacted the company’s IT director about the request. The IT director agreed to provide the personal information, …

Repeat Drunken Driver Sped Past Officer, Charges Say

Suspect was charged with his fifth offense drunken drunk driving and possession of marijuana.

A Hales Corners man drove drunk in front of a Brookfield police officer early Monday morning, charges allege. Joseph C. Chojnacki, 32, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday with one count of fifth offense operating while intoxicated, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. If convicted, he faces up to 4 1/2 years in prison and $20,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 2:20 a.m. Monday, a Brookfield police officer spotted Chojnacki driving eastbound on Capitol Drive near 165th Street, traveling 55 miles per hour in a 45-mph speed zone. The officer began to follow Chojnacki, who at one point slowed down to 37 mph, then sped up again. …

Near Crash at Mall Ends in Fourth OWI Charge

A New Berlin woman tested with a high blood-alcohol level after a driver said she nearly hit another car while leaving Brookfield Square mall, charges allege.

A New Berlin woman with three drunken driving convictions nearly hit a car at the mall and had a high blood-alcohol level, a criminal complaint alleges. Allyson M. Featherly, 48, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Nov. 19 with one count of fourth offense operating while intoxicated within a five-year period and one count of operating a motor vehicle after revocation of license. If convicted, she faces up to four years in prison and $12,500 in fines. Teen Enters Plea in Fatal Crash that Injured Deputies

The teenager who prosecutors allege drove drunk during a Nov. 1 crash in which his 17-year-old friend died has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges against him. Ihor Sahan, 18, of St. Francis, was arraigned Wednesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court on six charges related to a crash in which Ryan Petri, 17, died. Petri and Sahan were coming back from a concert in Madison. If convicted, Sahan could face more than 15 years in prison and $100,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: Sahan told authorities he consumed six vodka and Gatorade drinks before driving home from the concert. Brookfield Man Upset With Stopped Bus, Attacks Driver, Police Say

A 73-year-old man is accused of battering a Milwaukee County bus driver after he becomes upset the driver stopped the bus for a layover on Greenfield Avenue without its lights flashing.

A 73-year-old Brookfield man is accused of assaulting a Milwaukee County Transit System bus driver after he became upset the bus was parked on Greenfield Avenue. Hubert G. Smith was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday with one felony count of battery to a public transit operator and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. If convicted, he faces up to 21 months in prison and $11,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 6:23 p.m. Nov. 21, the bus driver had parked his bus in the 127000 block of West Greenfield Avenue for a layover, when Smith pulled up behind in his car, then got out and came on the bus. Newspaper Carrier Imposters Get Jail Time, Probation

Two men who ran a scheme to pose as Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper carriers to get holiday tips were sentenced to jail Monday for their crimes.

Two men who tried to grift money from area residents by posing as Milwaukee Journal Sentinel carriers during the 2011 holiday season will spend this year's season in jail. David S. Downer, 34, of Hartford, and Stephen C. Schumacher, 42, of City of Pewaukee, were each sentenced Monday to jail with work-release and probation for trying to swindle unearned tips from residents. Prosecutors asked Waukesha County Circuit Judge Patrick Haughney to give each man 60 days in jail. But Haughney instead gave Downer 75 days in jail and two years probation because he has a prior criminal record, while Schumacher got 21 days in jail and nine months probation. Both men were convicted of three misdemeanor counts of attempted theft by misrepresentation. …

Ex-Brewer Francisco 'K-Rod' Rodriguez Pleads Not Guilty to Disorderly Conduct

Former Milwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Francisco "K-Rod" Rodriguez pleaded not guilty Monday morning to disorderly conduct after police say he beat his fiancee Sept. 18 after getting into an argument because she believed he was cheating on her, according to court documents. Rodriguez, 30, of Coral Springs, FL, faces up to 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines if convicted of the misdemeanor. He returns to court Dec. 13 for a hearing. It's the second time since 2010 he has been charged in an episode of domestic violence. Driver Had Ambien in Her Car After Crash, Police Say

A Brookfield woman who hit a telephone pole and left the scene had illegal controlled substance in her car, a charge alleges.

A Brookfield woman whose car struck a telephone pole and left the scene had five bottles of Ambien in her car, a criminal complaint alleges. Kelly T. Blaha, 24, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance. If convicted, she faces up to 30 days in jail and $500 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On July 23, Brookfield police officers were called to North Calhoun Road and Civic Drive on the report of a hit and run accident. Witnesses saw a car hit a telephone pole, then continue driving westbound on Civic. Blaha was determined to be driving the car and was later found.
