2 Waukesha Sheriff's Deputies Injured in Freeway Accident
Suspected drunken driver hits squad car parked in median on I-94 near Sunnsyslope Road in New Berlin.
Four people — including two Waukesha County Sheriff's deputies — were injured early Thursday when a driver crashed into a squad car parked on the median on I-94. The crash occurred at 2:40 a.m. near Sunnyslope Road when a man driving a Saab east on the freeway drove into the median and struck the back of a squad car that was parked there, the Wisconsin State Patrol said. A passenger in the Saab was transported by Flight for Life to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, and two deputies in the squad were taken by ambulance to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.
