On the article Letter to Editor: 'Chicken ordinance? Forget about it!'

ReplyChickens need the space of a backyard. A cow needs more space. This article and it's arguments are absurd. If you don't like chickens, don't have them. I don't complain about you and your free range ill logic. Let 'em have their chickens. I'm not motivated enough, but I want to trade for or buy some free range eggs from neighbors.

On the article Voting Likely to End in School District Buildings

ReplyThere are children in the library at TJMS during voting. Some people work second or third shift and vote during the day. This decision is congruent with current policy and makes sense with policy, regardless of Newtown. Midday voting in Saukville is barren compared to Port. TJMS has voting lines midday. Why take a chance with our kids? Why not use municipal court or District office? Just some thoughts.

ReplyLake Michigan is so much more powerful than we give her credit for. Please please please respect the lake and your own smallness beside and in it! The lake gives and the lake takes away. Recently deceased in Lake Michigan, Peter Dougherty may help him cross over, if that is his path. Peace to friends and family. I hope the results Monday are conclusive in order that you all may begin the healing process. So sorry... We can only hope he is in an even better situation now than he was as a sport and academic star, maybe a star in the Plaedian system. Peace...

ReplyWisconsin is the only state in the nation where a first drunk driving offense is not a crime, rather a traffic ticket. In 2009, the state made improvements to their DUI law by requiring interlocks for first time convicted offenders with a BAC of .15 or greater. MADD is working to require ignition interlocks for all convicted drunk drivers, legalize sobriety checkpoints and to make a first offense a misdemeanor. http://www.madd.org/drunk-driving/state-stats/Wisconsin.html

ReplyWhy weren't the adults cited for contributing alcohol to minors or something? Weird, and lame. Why is this okay? Because we're a red county? That's a Conservative, Family value? Or are there truly no laws to prosecute those "adults" against in this case. Well, party on - adults partying with your teenage daughters - that's cool in Oz apparently.

ReplyA decent adult male would have called her a cab or called her parents so she wasn't in that situation. She obviously never saw the 1988 movie with Jodi Foster "The Accused". Parents, time to bust that out on your 16 year old daughters and show them what (some) men can get like with alcohol in a group. She's naive, and bored and our brilliant "abstinence only" emphasized health education in schools doesn't touch on this topic in enough detail, and if the home doesn't, she's screwed as far as preparation for the world. And right, Greg, Wisconsin has the most lax laws imaginable in regard to drinking and behavior, and also drunk driving. It's pretty sad.

it's not about smarts, it's about motivation. if one is motivated to batter someone smaller and weaker than them, they may be evil enough to know where they are located. men around here laugh that they know where women go if they go to Advocates. One joked and drove by and told everyone... you are incorrect. it should move and never ever publish its address.
