ReplyI think it is probably the parents that may be more traumatized by this production than the kids. It's really time to stop treating teenagers like they are Faberge eggs that must be protected from everything. They know a lot more than they are given credit for and could teach the parents a thing or two. Was it really that long ago that parents were teenagers? Taboo subjects were around then too and I am sure they were well aware of them.

ReplyNothing stated is not true. The facts are just as much a insight in to his personal character as that as someone that shows up on CCAP. Again, not all CCAP information is criminal in nature. It is easy to say pay your bills but when you are laid off and inundated with medical bills you have to pick and choose what get's paid and that should not be anyone elses business and is not a mark against someone's character. All you people that choose to judge - have you ever tried to make arrangements with a credit card to work out a reasonable solution? Doesn't work. They want more than you have and when you have to keep your medical accounts up to date in order to continue treatment you have tough choices to make.

Muskego Mom - perhaps you are unaware of Mr Schmitz. He opened a bookstore in Shorewood with taxpayer dollars. It was a good idea and people were excited about it. His inventory was stocked with primarily donations of books from other people. Myself included. It was located in a former bookstore location. The village rallied around him. He closed the doors in less than six months. That is why some of the people of Shorewood are not very found of him. We have some of the highest real estate taxes around here so get a little uptight when we see those dollars go to someone undeserving. Mr Schmitz is also an elites snob who thinks he is better than everyone else merely because he uses his own name as his screen name and throws it in everyones face every chance he gets. If anyone needed to stay private, it is he.

Sometimes, things in life happen. Not all offenses on CCAP are criminal in nature. In these economic times, people have to make choices; eat or pay your credit card. You decide to eat you end up on CCAP. Somethings should be private.

ReplyHeard a segment on public radio the other day that states todays teens are less mature and less prepared to conquer the world than at any other time. They are relying more and more and for longer times on their parents then any other generation. As someone that will be retiring myself in the next 25 years I really fear for our future generation and their abilities to run the world. Perhaps if we just get back to basics, find out what the kids really need intellectually and emotionally, regardless of politics we might see some good changes. Remember, it's for the kids and all this mamby pamby stuff brought on by the parents really isn't good for anyone.

Good for him. He is doing what he loves and honoring his late wife. Would you prefer he plant a bomb near the finish line of a marathon? What sour pusses.

If they were so great and it was all for the kids, why did they retire so fast? Sounds like the benefits were more important than the kids................That said, sounds like some of you don't think much of some of the new teachers or are willing to give them a chance. They too could be great teachers. I would hope that the board or the district or whatever would make sure they had the finest teaching the students within the constrictions of the budget. Many have done more with less.

I would go with a neighborhood kid. Most local companies charge on a per cut basis and can be pretty high. Most larger companies also charge a hefty price for weeding and planting and such but their employees don't get paid that much so I would go with a private person for that also. It is not as easy as it seems, especially on a hot day. Going rate for some people I know that do that is between 15 - 20 an hour.
